Car Park Danger

The car park at Peach Road Wyvern Park is a mess instead of being an asset to this estate. It is in a very poor state of repair it has broken fences and the surface is littered with eroding concrete and tarmac. In short it is a community liability.

Councillor Phil Bateman said today " Residents have complained to me about the state this car park is in. I have been told that it has deteriorated since the workmen who replaced paths and lighting left the site after they had used it as a construction point and storage area.

I have inspected the site and found fences pulled down some are very dangerous with flimsy posts propping them up. This cannot continue as I believe the fences now are a danger to children and other people who have them as a 'boundary' to their property.

I have contacted the Authority requesting urgent action and I am going to press them about the car parks long term future. I will keep the neighbourhood aware of developments through my web site."
