Ashmore Park Youth Club

I attended the Ashmore Park Youth Club yesterday to see about 50 young people turning up to engage members and officials of the Wednesfield Forum in activity issues and setting out what they viewed as being important in activity terms.

I was very impressed to see such a lot of young people at what was a mid-day meeting speaking with such enthusiasm about matter that were important to them. I am very hopeful that the Wednesfield Forum will support the youngsters in building and financing the sort of activity they want to use.

There was certainly a body of support for a skate park, though I did notice some divisions with some older kids just wanting football facilities. I had to leave early but I am keen on reading what the final outcome was. I would like to thank the members of the Wednesfield Forum for turning up and giving so much of their time to speak and hear what the young people were saying.
