Monday Blog!

The Monday blog! The week end started last Friday with me stating that I was washed out and looking forward to the week end! I can tell you now the weekend has ended that I am washed out and we have a whole working week in front of us!

Saturday was a disaster as my favourite Football team lost and the day just disappeared as I was hooked out on a shopping trip. The fact that it rained all day did little to help. In the evening though I was very privileged to watch the theatre group Shout! perform 'Fame' at the Arena Theatre. That was just plain class.

Up early Sunday with a date at Penn Church for the Mayors Civic Sunday. Waiting at 9.00am for the Deputy Mayors car...phone call..can you find your own way flat battery!

We arrived in plenty of time to robe at the Church and met the High Sheriff and his good Lady along with the Mayor and Mayoress the service was a very nice one and the Church was full and do I mean full!

We enjoyed the Civic Sunday very much. We left the Church for lunch with Councillor Geoff Foster and his wife Janet and we met Ken Purchase MP and Brenda at the restaurant for Sunday lunch. We do this several times a year as it allows business to be discussed and matters of interest to be exchanged.

Now here we are and it is Monday!
