Cloud Burst Hits Roads.

Heavy rain water last night combined with the hail made life quite difficult for drivers in Wednesfield last night , many of the roads whilst passable nevertheless had very heavy pooling as water run off seemed to be overwhelming the surface water drainage in places like Lichfield Road.

Councillor Phil Bateman said " The heavy cloud burst that struck just after 10.00pm led to a lot of water running off fields in Linthouse Lane and Lichfield Road by Broad Lane North. There was some very difficult road conditions for a time. The morning may see some localised flooding. Fortunately there was not too much traffic on the road to create delays."
