Pantomime Is Just Bostin!

Well the ‘Chain Gang’ turned out in force on Thursday night to attend the Pantomime Cinderella at the Grand Theatre Wolverhampton and what a night it was! Brilliant just brilliant and from the raucous laughter and the kids shouts of glee Wolverhampton and the Grand Theatre have a real showbiz winner on its hands!
Attending tonight’s performance was the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Birmingham. The Mayor of Sandwell and her Consort, The Mayor of Solihull, The Mayor and Mayoress of Lichfield, The Mayor and Mayoress of Stafford, The Mayor and Mayoress of Telford, The Mayor and Mayoress of Dudley, The Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Walsall, The Lord Mayor of Coventry and Lady Mayoress, and the High Sheriff of the West Midlands County with his good lady all as guests of the Mayor and Mayoress of Wolverhampton and the Grand Theatre. Mary and I were also in attendance.

The Pantomime Cinderella is simply brilliant, forget the gripes and groans about risqué sketches and ‘nudity’ everything was hilarious….and did the kids and the grown ups laugh.

From the Grumbleweeds and Gary Wilmot through to the dancers…they were simply just great entertainment. The last time I visited a Pantomime must have been in the 80’s, and I admit approaching the show with trepidation tonight. But I was just blown away by the humour and the audience participation ‘yes it is- no it isn’t’ corny but stupendous.

So here it is from the Deputy Mayor of Wolverhampton go along and take your kids or someone else’s, it is a real good family show and I bet you chuckle all the way through just like I did, just as everyone else did also.

Just look at the way this ‘confusion’ of Mayors reacted……..not one sat with a stone face, all were roaring with laughter, but more importantly so were the kids in the audience. Belting good fun I certainly give it 8 out of 10 and would recommend it to anyone.

As would the rest of the ‘chain gang’ I am sure!
The Pantomime played in front of a full house.
