Well last night was an interesting evening for me. Rushed from work to attend the Scrutiny Panel meeting to look at Local Jobs for Local People.

This has been a very enjoyable and interseting Committee we have been analysing the Local economy and the document that we are putting together seems to be coming together well. There is bo doubt that there is a lot of interest from developers and the like in Wolverhampton since we have become a City.

Those that championed the City status were right to lobby and argue for that goal, for in my opinion we are starting to see the benefits materialise.

Following that meeting Mary and donned our Deputy Mayoral badges to welcome with the Mayor and Mayoress colleague Councillors attending the Mayors Parlour for Christmas cheer and a chat. It was a nice couple of hours and when we left the Parlour at 9.00pm I for one was very ready for my bed!
