Around The Ward

Around the Ward
Councillor Phil Bateman said "As a local Councillor you are asked to deal with a variety of cases. Currently I am doing my best to get the City Council to lop some trees in Barnard Road.
It is frustrating as the department seems to have gone to sleep on me. These days you are not supposed to create too much of a fuss. But I am getting very frustrated by the lack of a response from officials. So I do hope I get one in a few days...no longer!

There are concerns surfacing about a caravan that is parked in a garage site in Sandy Crescent again the Authority has been informed of the situation as have the police..... we wait to find out what is now going to happen?

There was a car vandalised on Monday night on Ashmore Park, Police have been informed, and I hope that they will do something about it. There was witnesses to the attack. I think that we have to all keep an eye open for episodes like this and report the matter to the police. If you want to remain anonymous use the crimestopper number on 0800 555111.

I have run into a little difficulty with regard to the quest for a new purpose built Community Centre on Ashmore Park/Wednesfield North. Officers are due to come back to me and inform me of the progress they are making.

Can I thank Leisure Services for delivering a first class Garden of Remembrance in time for Remembrance Sunday especially Ian who worked so hard to achieve the new memorial. I have had some real nice compliments from visitors who have come from Birmingham especially to see how our Memorial has transformed the previous arrangements.
