Meeting The Community

Well today both the Deputy Mayor and the Deputy Mayoress took part in official duties this time at the Bhagwan Valmik Temple and Community Centre Steelhouse Lane.

It was an enjoyable visit and I accepted a plaque on behalf of the Mayor. Mary was presented with a bouquet of flowers.


The invitation was to celebrate the birth day anniversaryof Guru Bhagwan Valmik Ji. It was well attended by what is a small congregation and the afternoon went well. Councillor Tersaim Singh gave a speech, as did Denis Turner MP.

I offered Civic Greetings on behalf of the Mayor, I made the point that Wolverhampton was a really great City. That it was a City that gave people great opportunities, and I awarded two certificates to two young ladies who had excelled in the Education system and had gone on to University.
