Break In- Garage Site Targeted

The garage site at Bayliss Avenue the site closest to Kitchen Lane was broken into again on Saturday. The previous Saturday there were three individual garages broken into. All this damage in one day! Now this week they are back again spreading concern and dealing out damage to community assets.

I am informed that this last garage has a car and a bike in it. I am not sure what damage has been done to the vehicles, but I am hoping that the City Council will make every effort to secure these garages that have been broken into very quickly.

Users of the site are very concerned about the threat to their property. I have asked the police to patrol the area if it is possible. Residents are asking me to press the police on these issues. I have tried to re-assure that is in evryone's interest to detect who is responsible for the continued dis honest actions on this site.

I have also e-mailed the local authority, as it appears to me to be a classic case for the 'Alley-Gate' scheme that the City Council in conjunction with Ashmore Park Residents Association provides funding for.Not only have I contacted the City for the 'Alley-Gate' scheme but also because attention is required on the site as soon as possible, to secure the damaged garages and the remainder of the site from further damage."
