Showcase bus routes are one of the most important of policy objectives that are projected in the Local Transport Plan. Sadly some of the problems we are facing on show case routes is the vandalism that occurs in some bus shelters.

Councillor Phil Bateman said " There is a real need for the community to come together and tackle this vanadalism issue. The cost to Counciltax payers of broken windows in the bus shelters is I believe a very large sum. I hope that residents living close to the 559 bus route in my Ward will do all that they can to inform the police of when vandalism occurs.

I know that the number of times that individual bus shelters get smashed up, does cause community concern. Lets see if we can identify the culprits.
