Deputy Mayor's Debut!

Oh Dear ! We are quickly approaching Saturday when the Bateman's make their debut as the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress!

The debut will take place in the Mander Centre where we will be asked to officially open a store. Now I am not giving any Store names away here, but if there are any Wednesfield people about on Saturday. Give us a wave and some encouragement this Mayoral outfit is more than a little nervous!

Our starring role will begin at 9.55, followed on the Sunday by a visit to BBC Radio WM where the first radio show from the BBC new flagship Birmingham Head Quarters at the Mail Box will take place. My old [very old] adversary Ed Doolan has invited the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress to take part in this historic occassion and so we will.

I shall be on more familiar ground in the studio than at the Mander Centre. Ed has always gave me a grilling.... I don't suppose that Sunday will be any different.
