Concerns Continue About Policing

There is still concerns in the Ward about the police cover and the rumours that abound which suggest that the Ashmore Park bit of Wednesfield North is to lose police cover.

Councillor Phil Bateman said " The new Commander of Wolverhampton East Police has written to me explaining that he is to roll out his proposals on policing at a meeting on Wednesday 30th June.

I have been speaking with one of his officers tonight explaining the areas of concern that I have. Also making the point that these concerns reflect what residents say to me in the Ward. There is a growing number of complaints that I am fielding which should give the police an indication of the work they need to cover off, if they are going to carry residents with them."
