Police Criticised

Wednesfield Police have been criticised by some residents on Ashmore Park following an anti social behaviour that they are experiencing in their locality.

Councillor Phil Bateman has said today “I have written to the police at Wednesfield. I am concerned that senior citizens feel abandoned by West Midlands Police; they inform me that they have had to put up with multiple nights of noise and nuisance including items being thrown at the windows.

The outcome is that they have been moved to tears and are very scared. One senior citizen is trying to get over a burglary that has taken place at his home…can you imagine the fear that they are experiencing in the late hours when youths start targeting their property.

I must admit to being very concerned that the police have yet to contact my constituent despite his calls for help. This type of response will do nothing to build confidence in the community.”
