Ouch!

How about this then, I wrote to congratulate a local school on winning a competition. I really liked the response I received from the headteacher.
He made the point quite forcibly to me that it was a superb result.

He said "Thanks for that. I cannot help but wallow (if only a little) in the warm glow felt when one of the government's "bog-standard" comprehensives gets the better of two of our more 'selective' establishments."

I really like that response ……………..’ouch’!
