Fake ID Concerns Voiced!

Further to my articles on the 'Booze Sting on Ashmore Park' where Wolverhampton City Council and the trading standards officers uncovered 2 shops that were selling alcohol to underage children.

Councillor Phil Bateman said “I am still very concerned about what is taking place in Wednesfield. I have received the following information from a concerned Mother. I have promised to keep the sender anonymous. But there is concern here. I shall be contacting the police with the information. The Mother writes ‘Youths are using fake ID cards purchased off www.phatism.co.uk, these cards are supplied as novelty use but that’s not going to deter teenagers is it? They can buy alcohol from these shops just by showing a fake id card.

It maybe related to the violence at the football too, it gives the kids
Dutch courage if they are being allowed in the pubs in the Wolverhampton area using these cards.’

Phil Bateman adds “So as you can see there is a real fear here that this internet site is being used to provide fake identity. I hope that West Midlands Police will look into this issue as I believe it is a very serious matter indeed. I will keep you up-to-date with any response via www.philbateman.com.”
