What A Week!

So the week started for me last Saturday,Good old Wednesfield North Labour Party met at the Pheasant Public House[outside not inside!] went out delivering 'Welcome' cards to the new part of the Ward down at Wood End.
Wood end is a very old and established part of Wednesfield but it is new to my Ward.....Well its new to Wednesfield North as it will be put into our area for the next local elections in June of this year.

We made a grand sight.... lots of activists trudging the streets. Belting leaflets through the doors and having a ball. Every step I take I comfort myself with the thought that I must be losing weight. Sunday brought a morning out at Lucas Sportsfield watching Essington perform in a 4-4 draw with bottom of the league rivals. My nephew Steven had an iffy game...in and out like a yo yo on a string. He must do better! My brother in law Frank and sister in law Diane were all there it was a real family occassion.!

Monday long hard slog at work followed by the Labour Group meeting, Tuesday a visit before the Birmingham Scrutiny panel....in a work related role...giving evidence and fielding questions....then on the evening catching up with Council cases.
Wednesday a night at home two residents come for advice on their problems, and I spend some time on updating the Phil Bateman On Line web page.

Thursday brings a visit to St Thomas's Church quick visit for a meeting that I was late for! Quick chat with the Vicar and some of the committee that runs the two church charities then away again. On the evening up date the web site, meet constituents. Sort out a meeting with my Agent for the election Bob Jones. Set a few tactics and then off to bed. Tomorrow [Saturday] morning day off.....and away to Sheffield United to watch West Brom battle it out with the blades! ...Well you have to have some time to yourself!
Saturday night will see me on Radio 5 Live in BBC Pebble Mill Studio for a very late night debate on buses starting at 11.15..............I must be mad..Anyone who listens must be madder still... Sunday sees the campaign team and my fellow candidates for Wednesfield North Gwen Stafford Good and Dave Jones pounding the streets again..lettting every one know what a great energetic team we are in the Labour Party! Weblog Diary 14th Feb-22Feb...is that how you do it Tom Watson???
