Chief Constables Neighbourhood Watch Award

Councillor Phil Bateman told today how delighted he was about receiving the Chief Constables Neighbourhood Watch Award 2003 presented on the 30th January 2004.

He said “Of course I was delighted to be informed that West Midlands Police through Chief Constable Paul Scott Lee had awarded this certificate to me. The Award acknowledges the support and endeavours I have made to reduce crime and make our community a safer place to live.

I wished that I had been able to receive the award at the ceremony that took place on the 30th January personally. Unfortunately on this occasion I was outside of the Country and I have since received the Award on my return.

It is great to know that the efforts that I have made within our community here in the West Midlands has been noticed and recognised. I shall certainly treasure the Award which is already framed and has a very prominent position within my home.”
