Councillor Phil Bateman said "I have been continually asked about the City Councils Central Heating programme. So I have decided to post the response I have recently had from Neighbourhood Renewal. They list the current programme that is being worked to now.

So this is the streets that I expect will have Central Heating and Insulation installed during this financial year 2003/4. They are;
Thornley Road
Millbank street
Cleveland Close
Wolmer Road
Drummond Close
Rogers Close
Barnard Road
Ferguson Street
Snape Road
Griffith Drive; Part Only between Thornley Road and Snape Road on odd side and from the Church to Ashmore Avenue on the even side.
Higgs Road
Acorn Road
Coppice Close
Fane Road
Perks Road
Simmons Road
Hill Place
Brindley Avenue.

Councillor Bateman added " as you can see it is a significant investment programme that our Labour controlled Council have embarked upon. The programme for this and the UPVc windows renewals amounts to investment of £4m for Wednesfield North since the late 90's . Please contact me if you have any further points."
