There was a flash of lightening and a clap of thunder tonight as one of Labours stalwarts lost out in the re-selection race for a local government seat

Insider learnt tonight that one of the feistiest women in the Council Chamber and
a former Mayor of the City of Wolverhampton was to-night de-selected by her Ward Party- Fallings Park Labour Party.The selection process took place to-night and after interviews and a voting process-three candidates were selected to fight for Labour. Insider would suggest that Party Leaders should wear hard hats as the fall out will likely be quite difficult to dodge.

Insider can reveal that she was very, very disappointed at the result.
