Stop the Trend in Crime

So what is going to be done? Week after week we hear of hooligan antics from a steadily growing fringe of youngsters that seem to want know bounds. Councillor Phil Bateman said "This week a working class man, a front line public servant, a bus driver has lost his eye following yet another round of yobbery in Wolverhampton. This incident following a stone throwing orgy of violence
But the question I pose is what are we the public going to do about this issue?
It wouldn´t be so bad if this sort of incident was an isolated one. But of course it is not.
Whilst the Government is waging war and appears to be winning in crime areas like robbery and burglary, the more common anti social behaviour type crimes are looking like as though they are growing both in volume and some may argue in seriousness. All through the summer Wednesfield North has been plagued with hooligan behaviour. As the pages on this website will inform you if you take time to look at the back incidents. We have to do something together. I shall be writing to police chiefs and the local Community Safety Partnership requesting how they are going to deal with anti social behaviour and what they have achieved in the last 12 months. I also believe that a debate in Council about law and order issues in Wolverhampton is once again due.

I had already written to the Leader of the Council about this issue at the start of the year indicating this requirement. But the public have a huge roll to play and the police needs your help."
