Patrols Planned

Wednesfield Police are to patrol the Devils Elbow Bridge on the Great Wyrley -Essington Canal at Wednesfield following intervention by Councillor Phil Bateman.

Phil said " I have been receiving complaints from residents in the Rocester Avenue area of Wednesfield North who have been complaining that youths were gathering at this site on the canal. All to often there were outbreaks of loutish behaviour and residents felt very threatened by the intimidating behaviour that occurred.

Phil said "I am pleased to have received confirmation from Wednesfield Police that the local Beat Bobby is fully aware of the situation and intends to plan his patrols accordingly in an effort to identify the youths concerned and deal with them appropriatley".

PC Beckett is the local Officer and has left his details with residents should they require him again.
