Well Done Nursery & Children's Centre Staff!

As Chair of Governors of Ashmore Park Nursery School. I just wanted to place on record my approval for the way that Ashmore Park Nursery & Children's Centre has stayed open during the most difficult weather we have encountered here in Ashmore Park for some considerable years.

I think that the Headteacher Sue Lacey and her staff can be rightly pleased with herself that the school has remained open and the very best endevours have been made to take children and not to create problems for parents by closing.

Now there is some 'thinking' taking place within education ranks across the UK with advice being offered to schools to remain open for as long as they can.

I feel that Ashmore Park Nursery has more than played its part in our community along with the Children's Centre during these very difficult winter's days.

Congratulations to everyone who works at the Nursery and the Children's Centre on your great community spirit and dedication, making your way to school and working the periods you have!

It is this spirit and professional dedication that has led to the OFSTED giving an outstanding accolade to the school recently.
