By Election Machine Moves Into Gear!

Phil With Labour Education Minister Ed Balls at the Gem Centre

The election machine is moving at full speed here in Wednesfield North now that the By-Election for the City Council has been called for October 23rd.
There is not going to be much free time for anyone as the Labour Party swings into gear to win the seat back from the Conservatives.

It is worth noting that the Conservative's though were first in the field announcing their candidate at the beginning of the week.

I will not however be standing for Wednesfield North myself as I shall be putting all my focus on winning the Labour Party Candidacy for the Wolverhampton North East Parliamentary seat being vacated by Ken Purchase MP when he retires at the end of this Parliament. This is to take place on September 27th, so it is not too far away now.

I am looking for the support of Labour Party members in Wolverhampton North East for not only their first preference vote but also their second and third if it is appropriate.

Come Monday there will be a Labour selection meeting held for both Wednesfield North and Wednesfield South, and after this has taken place the names of the Labour candidates will be known.
