Aim A Radar Gun At Them!

The speed that cars are driving in Broad Lane North these balmy summer evenings are frightening.!

It is only a matter of time before someone loses control on this stretch of road.

Residents along the Lane will testify that the number of offenders are growing, and despite numerous requests during past years for the Authorities to take action the speeding seem to be increasing.

I will be writing to the Police and the Highway Authority over this matter, and I would urge every resident of Broad Lane North to do likewise.

I have asked previously for speed cameras on this streych of road, and I repeat that request today. In the meantime the Police with a mobile speed gun would help make the point.

Trying to get off a driveway when some of these speedsters are performing is very dangerous, and the Authorities need to take some action to protect the residents and other highway users.
