Wednesfield High Street Enforcement

Councillor Phil Bateman said "Local residents have contacted me concerning the number of cars that are ignoring the traffic restrictions in Wednesfield High Street."

The police are the enforcing agency and I know that they launch campaigns every so often to stop people from breaking the traffic order that restricts the vehicles allowed to make movements in the High Street. My constituent informs me that there are more illegal movements taking place in the high street than ever before. I am being informed that the restriction being ignored in this way is making it dangerous for pedestrians, who cross from one side of the High Street to the other during their shopping trips.

I will make the police aware of this request, and I hope that they will be able to act and enforce the restriction once again.
