Bucknall Road Report

Councillor Phil Bateman said "Following the Police Liaison Committee Meeting last night in Ashmore Park. I followed up my comments to the meeting with correspondence to West Midlands Police at Wednesfield."
He added "I explained that Criminal damage was the top crime on Ashmore Park, I also told them about the continued calls I had received from residents in Bucknall Road who were suffering anti social behaviour and criminal damage to their property.

I asked that they bring back the cctv surveillance cameras in the shape of the domehawk camera and that they do as much as they can to uncover arrest and charge the offenders of the Queen's Peace.

I am pleased to say that I have had an immediate response from Inspector Turley who tells me that "PCs Nash and Barfield together with PCSO Roden are paying a considerable amount of time to the area and have done so for some time.

I will continue to monitor and try and identify solutions to the problem." But the good news for the residents is that Inspector Turley also said "There are a number of issues I am considering, the camera being one of them."

Now I know local residents would like to see the dome hawk camera in situ here. But the response can only be seen to be positive. I will continue to keep people informed via this site."
