Good News On Booze

There are still complaints being made about under aged drinking taking place on the estate. At the last meeting of the Ashmore Park Police Liaison Committee there were requests that the police do all that they can to crack down on the practice.
In response they explained that they were working in partnership with the Local Authority. They had recently undertaken a joint operation and the results of that operation were that no outlets on Ashmore Park were selling to under age youngsters.

But outlets off Ashmore Park were caught selling and action was being considered . Councillor Phil Bateman commented that it was important that trading standards and the police were working in this way.
