A Good Response

Councillor Phil Bateman said "I have been making enquires at the city council following a constituent on Coppice Close that complained to me that there were lights burning 24 hours at a time at the former Coppice Close Community centre site in Coppice Close."
He added " My constituent told me that the lights were keeping her awake of a night and that as hard as she tried she could not get the City Council to take ownership of the situation.

I can now inform residents that it was difficult to track down someone to take ownership but I have done just that. Here is the response that I have now finally received "

Ian Morris Estates Services Manager has replied stating that "Your enquiry regarding the lights at the parking area in Coppice Close has been passed to me.

I am pleased to be able to inform you that our Electrical Section were due to attend the site on Wednesday 2nd August to rectify the timing to the one column that was on permanently.

Hopefully the matter is now resolved satisfactorily but I will visit before the end of the week to check."

Phil further commented "I am pleased that I have been able to sort this matter out I know that it was a major concern due to the way the light angled into her home day and night."
