Buses Bonanza

The announcement that Travel West Midlands is to purchase 30 new buses for its Wolverhampton City fleet is testimony to the fact that segregated bus lanes do work.

Phil Bateman said “TWM has seen a 5% growth on bus services that use the City Councils bus priority measures. That growth has led to the company wheeling in 30 of the newest designed buses.

These buses are currently being constructed in Scotland, they are good to look at and come with all the latest safety measures in place including ‘Crystaleyes’ a new CCTV development that the company hopes will provide even greater confidence to customers travelling on their services.

This is approx £4.5million of investment a real dividend for the City as improving the bus fleet will ultimately enhance Britain’s newest City’s own image.”
