Councillor Phil Bateman today said “the Grass Verges Working Party had now received the questionnaire and that officials had told him that the questionnaires that are now to be delivered in Peacock Ave have been printed.”

He went onto say;” They [The Grass Verges Working Party] have arranged a meeting of the working party at 2.00pm on the 12th August at the tenants meeting room to sort out the delivery plan and take on board any further suggestions that the group may have .

I have been informed that they will keep me up to date with progress made. What ever the outcome of the questionnaire there is no doubt that we will have a better view on what residents want, certainly better than anything we have had to date, when trying to balance the competing requirements of residents.

I must admit I would be concerned if everyone wanted to rip all the grass verges up and just lay tarmac. But we should wait and see what this important survey comes up with.”
