Wednesfield Forum Shock News

A report commissioned by the Wednesfield Area Forum which covers the Wards of Wednesfield North,Wednesfield South and Fallings Park. The Report has produced some interesting results and they are due to be debated on Tuesday 17th June at Wednesfield High school at 7.30pm

Councillor Phil Bateman today urged residents of Wednesfield North to attend the meeting, he said: “This is a public meeting and residents should attend. The report on Youth Provision Commissioning is an important one. It has provided some very interesting statistics, which paints a very gloomy picture for youngsters in this corner of Wolverhampton.

The report tells us that crime and anti social behaviour is higher in Wednesfield than almost anywhere else in the City. It ranks number 2 in the city 365 incidents per 1,000 populations. Wednesfield also has the highest rates in the city for disorder offences.

It gets worse with figures suggesting that Wednesfield has the highest ranking drug abuse in Wolverhampton overall, as well as the fact that there has been 48[ teenage] under -16 pregnancy’s in Fallings Park and Wednesfield North.

I would urge Wednesfield North residents to attend the meeting and speak up on the issues that concern them.”
