Twyford Grove Alleyway Closure

Alleyway closure is what residents in Twyford Grove Oaklands Estate want. The Alleyway that runs at the rear of homes in Twyford Grove requires closure according to residents living close by. Councillor Phil Bateman said " I am tackling this longstanding problem and I am very aware of how strong local people feel about this issue.

Residents complain that the pedestrian walkway is only used by kids who are up to no good and want Wolverhampton City Council to close it quickly. There have been allegations of under age drinking and drug abuse taking place in these quiet unprotected alleyways.....I have received news back from Bob Barratt of Highways who has written to me saying" We are in the process of designating areas where the new Countryside and Rights of Way Act powers can be used. We will make sure that areas we know about are not left out". Phil says "that this is progress and I am very pleased with the response."
